Our Commitment to Copyright Compliance

Apocalypsis takes intellectual property rights seriously. Every knowledge source included in our product has been individually reviewed and verified to ensure compliance with its license terms.

We exclusively use content that falls into one of the following categories:

  • U.S. Federal Public Domain — works produced by U.S. Government agencies (FEMA, U.S. Army, USDA, CDC, NOAA, NREL, Peace Corps, etc.)
  • Pre-1929 Public Domain — works published before 1929, now in the public domain under U.S. copyright law
  • Creative Commons — works released under CC BY-SA, CC BY-NC, or similar open licenses, used in full compliance with license terms
  • Open Access — works published under open access policies (FAO, educational institutions)

Attribution

Where required by the applicable license, we provide proper attribution to the original authors and publishers. A complete list of all sources with their respective licenses is available on our Knowledge Base page.

Non-Commercial Content (CC BY-NC)

Several sources from Hesperian Health Guides are included under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. These materials are included for educational and humanitarian purposes. We maintain full attribution as required by the license.

DMCA Takedown Procedure

Despite our careful review process, if you believe that any content included in Apocalypsis infringes on your copyright, we will act immediately.

Contact us

Send a takedown notice to dmca@apocalypsis.ltd identifying the copyrighted work and the specific content you believe infringes on your rights.

2.
We investigate and remove

Upon receiving a valid takedown notice, we will promptly investigate and remove the content from our systems. We take every claim seriously and respond within 48 hours.

3.
We remove from all distributed copies

The removed content will be excluded from all future updates. Subscribers with active update plans will receive the corrected knowledge base automatically through our update system. We ensure that the infringing content is removed not only from our servers, but from all copies distributed to our users.

DMCA Notice Requirements

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, please include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing and where it appears in our product
  • Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to dmca@apocalypsis.ltd with the required information under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
